Abu Dhabi City Tour from Dubai

The Abu Dhabi city tour itinerary combines scenic drives, photo opportunities, a shopping stop and selected visits. Your planned pickup is between 8:30 AM and 9:30 AM, with return drop-off expected around 8:00 PM. Both timings are tentative and may vary according to traffic, the collection route and the day's schedule.

1. Pickup and Departure

Begin your day with pickup from your confirmed collection point. Most bookings are arranged from designated locations in Deira, Bur Dubai and Sheikh Zayed Road in Dubai. Meet your professional English-speaking guide and begin the journey to Abu Dhabi.

Your exact pickup point and time will be shared through your booking confirmation. Please arrive on time to avoid delaying the collection schedule.

2. Drive Through Saadiyat Island

Enjoy a scenic drive through Saadiyat Island, an area known for its cultural destinations, contemporary developments and coastal surroundings. Take in the views as the tour continues towards the planned sightseeing stops.

This is a drive-through segment rather than a guaranteed visit inside any attraction.

3. Dates Market: Shopping Stop

Stop at the Dates Market for an opportunity to browse the available dates, local products and souvenirs. This is a shopping stop within the itinerary, so you can look around and make purchases if you wish.

Any shopping expenses are paid separately by the traveller. The time available for this stop depends on the group's schedule and the day's operating conditions.

4. Abu Dhabi Corniche: Scenic Drive

Continue along Abu Dhabi Corniche, where waterfront views and the city skyline provide a glimpse of the capital's coastal setting. This part of the journey is primarily a scenic drive, with any additional stopping time subject to the confirmed route.

5. Emirates Palace Hotel: Photo Stop

Enjoy a designated photo stop at Emirates Palace Hotel, one of Abu Dhabi's recognisable architectural landmarks. Take photographs of the exterior and surrounding views before rejoining the tour.

The photo stop does not include entry to the hotel or any paid experiences inside it.

6. His Highness's Palace: View from the Bus

As the bus passes the designated roundabout, your guide will point out the view of His Highness's Palace along the route. This is a view from the vehicle rather than an interior visit or a separate palace admission experience.

7. Al Bateen Presidential Palace: Drive-By

Continue past Al Bateen Presidential Palace as part of the planned sightseeing route. This is an exterior drive-by, allowing you to see the surrounding area without stopping for an interior visit.

Palace access is not included in this sightseeing segment.

8. Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque: Photo Stop and Optional Visit

Stop at Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, one of Abu Dhabi's best-known religious and architectural landmarks. Admire the mosque's magnificent domes, minarets, white marble exterior and intricate designs during your photo stop.

If you wish to visit the mosque's interior, an additional AED 10 charge applies to this tour according to the information provided by the tour team. Confirm the applicable charge and what it covers when booking. Visitors entering the mosque must follow the current dress code and visitor rules.

Looking to experience more than the exterior of the mosque? Discover the Light & Peace Museum and Diya Immersive Experience at Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, available to book through Travellers Choice. This separate experience offers an immersive journey through Islamic heritage, rare artefacts, art and the UAE's message of peace and coexistence. Please note that museum and Diya tickets are separate from your Abu Dhabi city tour booking.

9. Ferrari World Abu Dhabi: Photo Stop

Continue towards Yas Island for a photo stop at Ferrari World Abu Dhabi. The attraction is known for its distinctive red roof and Ferrari-inspired theme park experience, making its exterior a popular photography point.

This stop does not include entry to the park, rides or other paid attractions. Separate admission is required if an appropriate ticket upgrade is available and confirmed for your booking.

10. BAPS Hindu Mandir: Visit When Included

A visit to BAPS Hindu Mandir may be included where specified in the confirmed tour option and permitted by the operating schedule. The temple is known for its traditional stone architecture and cultural significance.

As this stop is conditional, check your booking confirmation to verify whether your selected departure includes the visit. Do not assume it is guaranteed on every tour.

11. Return Journey and Drop-Off

After completing the planned itinerary, begin the return journey according to the day's schedule. The expected drop-off time is around 8:00 PM, although traffic and the pickup route may affect the final arrival time.

Please note: The itinerary order and availability of conditional stops may change due to traffic, access restrictions, venue operating arrangements or other operational requirements.
